Do You Know about Outreach?

One of the wonderful things about Bluemont (and not just Bluemont in Ashland but Bluemont in all communities!) is the Outreach Program. Prior to each concert on the lawn, our performer or band for the evening spends time at a senior center or assisted living facility, playing for those in our community who otherwise would not be able to attend the concert.  Paige Christy, a Bluemont in Ashland volunteer since the beginning seven years ago, coordinates the outreach programs and loves doing it (not to mention she is fabulous at it!). Our performers spend about thirty minutes sharing their music and then interacting with the residents. We've heard that the residents enjoy the performances, even for weeks following! This week, Black Sheep will be performing at Omni Park Senior Center. Thanks Black Sheep!
